Good News i.e. West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board has published the Presidency University Bachelor Degree Entrance Test (PUBDET) 2018 GNM Score Card through online on 1st week of June, 2018. Now the results are available to check online official website at : wbjeeb.in. All the related candidates who participated for WBJEEB PUBDET 2018 Entrance test, you are suggested to check your GNM score, the qualified candidates can download their score card for appearing admission counseling and submission at the time of admission.

Ranking Methodology and publication of Merit Lists
WBJEEB will publish a merit rank list based on the candidates’ score in the entrance tests.
a) This List shall be in the name and style of ‘GMR’ (General Merit Rank)
b) Ranking of the said Merit List shall be done in the descending order of marks scored in the entrance test
c) However, there may be ties and the tie-breaking rule given in section 2.8 below shall be applicable for determining their merit rank.
d) Separate reserved category ranks e.g. SC-Rank, ST-Rank, OBC-A-Rank, OBC-B-Rank, PwD-Rank also will be published for respective category of students
e) But only ‘GMR’ shall be applicable for sequencing the counselling and seat allotment. Category ranks are prepared only for sequencing the deserving candidates within the respective category.
a) In case of tie, the candidate obtaining less negative score will have better rank.
b) If tie exists still thereafter, all such candidates will be awarded the same rank and will be considered for counselling and admission with bunching effect.
PUBDET Entrance test – Eligibility criteria for admission:
a) Candidates must have passed (not before 2017) OR appeared (in 2018) in the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2 system) conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education, West Bengal, or any equivalent examination
b) Candidate must pass any of the aforementioned examinations, with at least five recognized subjects (full marks not less than 100), including English language.
c) Candidates with International ‘A’ level or International Baccalaureate qualifications, must have at least three subjects at the IGCSE level and three subjects at the ‘A’ level, with English in either of the two levels.
d) The candidate must secure a minimum aggregate percentage score as per the following table in his/her qualifying examination in 12th standard.

Important information to candidates regarding eligibility
WBJEEB do neither verify the information provided by the candidate during online application nor verify any certificate of date of birth, domicile, income, reservation category, academic qualification etc. for deciding the eligibility of the candidate. Admit cards issued only on the basis of the information provided by the candidate. Also there is no scope of changing/correcting any information after the last date of online application.
All verifications are done during counselling, admission, registration with the university. If at any stage after examination it is found on scrutiny that the applicant is otherwise ineligible, his/her candidature shall be treated as cancelled even if he/she secured a Merit Rank in the PUBDET-2018 or a seat has been allotted to him/her.
Hence securing a Rank in the PUBDET-2018 does not constitute a right/guarantee in favour of a candidate for his/her claim for admission who ultimately fails to comply the specified norms and standards.
